Minox-B "spy" camera I used while
traveling during the last millennium. It is a beautiful piece of German
technology and a pleasure to fondle. Unfortunately, the resolution of even
snapshots is not very good. The chain/lanyard contains beads used for precisely
measuring distance to secret documents the agent is trying to photograph!

Hello from Dubrovnik Croatia, Arriving by bus from Mostar I spent four
days exploring this interesting walled city. Partially destroyed by the
Serbs it has now been restored to its previous condition. I tried to find
a way south toward Albania through Serbia. At one point a woman took
bitter offence at my comment that I wanted to cross the border into her
former enemy's country. Eventually, I discovered the only practical way
to Albania would need to be through Bari Italy by ferry. So, I took an
over night ferry to Bari and then immediately back across the Adriatic
Sea to Albania. I had a sleeping compartment, but had to share it with
one of the off duty sailors from the ferry who spoke no English. 8/14/2011
