Greetings from Santa Barbara ,

Tomorrow, my second wife Tomoko and I leave for a combination vacation and business trip to the country of her birth where we will spend time with her parents, older brother and sister, and nieces and nephews. Her family home in not far from Mito in Ibaraki Prefecture is about fifty miles north-east of Tokyo.
