Hello from Dubrovnik Croatia,

DRAFT

Arriving by bus from Mostar I spent four days exploring this interesting walled city. Partially destroyed by the Serbs it has now been restored to it previous condition. I tried to find a way south toward Albania through Serbia. At one point a woman took bitter offence at my comment that I wanted to cross the border into her former enemy's country. Eventually, I discovered the only practical way to Albania would need to be through Bari Italy by ferry. So, I took an over night ferry to Bari and then immediately back across the Adriatic Sea to Albania. I had a sleeping compartment, but had to share it with one other man, a sailor from the ferry I think. 8/14/2011

Peace,

Fred Bellomy

Dubrovnik Croatia: Inside this beautiful walled city on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. Badly damaged during the Second World War by Croatian forces, it has now been mostly restored. Tall towers, high walls, unobstructed sea views and monumental architecture makes this city unique in the world.
